"I'm leaving on a jet plane........"  I can't wait to take a vacation, even as short lived as this one will be!  I always get the "itch" to get out of dodge and since I've stopped travel nursing, I jump at any chance to go somewhere.  Matthew is getting excited and I started downloading videos and cartoons to my itouch for him.  He says it's so cool to have his "own" movie screen.  Yeah, buddy it's coming back to me when we get back!!!

Already have my tickets to visit the girls this summer in Portland for the Brew-fest!!!  No Derby this year, but I think I can sacrifice one thing!  I was never lucky at betting on the horses anyways!!!  I hope to wrap up the summer with a trip to the desert to see lots of friends in Phoenix, my other home.  It's amazing that I've been gone 3 years!!! Wow I'm starting to wonder what I've done with my time!!!!

Just trying to keep up with my ever revolving life.  Grateful to those who decide to come in those crazy doors and for those who continue be frequent fliers!!  Still working on grad school applications, well still thinking about them in the pile that is!  I will get to them!  Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and is enjoying their springtime.  Our official Easter Egg Hunt starts at noon per Matthew, should be fun!!!  My best to everyone!

Long time no see

Sorry that it's been awhile since I've posted anything.  Busy with work, school and yes the crazy addiction to the Twilight Saga.  Ok I need a moment to gush.  I just love those books, they were such a great departure from reality and I just loved every minute of it!  I know I know, vampires, but honestly I fell for it hook, line, and sinker!  Loved being able to listen to my old high school dark music while reading the books.  Just gotta love those days!  I read all four books in about a week and sacrificed the sleep department, but it was well worth it!  As many of you know, I've seen the movie now, a few times :).  It was good but the book was way better!  To sound like a crazy teeny bopper, Edward had his HOT moments.  Ok I said it and now I can move on.  Let's just say the official support group is growing at work!

Getting ready for a short vacation to Denver in a few weeks to see friends and family.  I have the cutest traveling buddy, Matthew.  The two of us will be going to see my Aunt in Breck and Matthew is awe-struck that he will be on a plane.  Of course I am awe-struck that I will have him for a week!  We've had long time together before and he loves his Auntie Erwin time, but it's becoming reality that I will be flying with a 4 year old.  Here's hoping that things go well!!!!

Lots to do today, behind in my class, so gotta get that paper done and then off to see my friend's husband's band playing tonight!  On call all day tomorrow, boooo.  Then back to the salt mine's on Monday!  Hope everyone is doing well and I will try to post more often, now that the book obsession is over!

Too old for this!

Worked last night and I still feel like I'm hung over!!!  I'm too old to be doing this flip flop of shifts.  I hope the nights become few and extremely far between!  It just throws me off and the day has been totally wasted!  Hopefully I can get more done tomorrow before I go back to work on Friday day.  Need a new head light, it burned out the day of the snow storm, perfect timing!!  I'm hoping to get more pics posted soon as I'm so inspired by all of friends.    Taking Matthew shopping tomorrow for a birthday party this weekend!  Who thought that shopping for birthday presents for kids could be so difficult!  Wow did our parents have as much trouble or do we just make ourselves crazier?  Off to get some zzzzz's.

Voodoo!!!

I would love to buy some voodoo dolls if anyone knows where I can get them!!!!  Maybe I should have gone to Mardi gras gotten them there!  I am sick and tired of mean and nasty people and the yelling!!  Oh boy the letting off steam at me!  Well I'm done with it!  Now I just hang up the phone or walk away.  I work to hard to be a punching bag for someone else.  I don't mind being a sounding board but in the line of direct fire has got to stop!  So hence the need for the voodoo dolls, I have specific dolls in mind for certain nasty people!  Maybe I'll make them out of gauze and tape.  Actually I think I will and just place it above my station at work with a 14 gauge needle sticking out of one eye or GROIN!!!  So glad to blow off steam.  Have a most pleasant evening to all!  Don't worry, I'll be off the ledge and sane by the end of the day tomorrow!  :)

Shoo flu shoo!

I'm living in a fog or a haze!  Once again,
I have been blessed to fall prey to the flu!  Of course this would happen when I have three days in a row off with loads of things to do!  To say the least, nothing was accomplished today except keeping my fever below 100 degrees.  I am so behind in cleaning this house and my school work is so behind.  I'm only taking one class, think I could handle it huh?  Good lord how could I ever handle anesthesia school?!!!  I'm hoping to be feeling better tomorrow so that I can at least get a few things done.  Wish me luck, I will so need it!

Out with the Old!

Ok, so obviously the small things in life make me so giddie!  I'm going to get my hair cut today and can't wait.  I just love changing the small things!  I'm getting rid of the blonde, so hence out with the old and in with the new, well I guess it would actually be "original" not new!  Anyways, something for me to look forward to today!

Continuing to work on requirements for grad school.  Still don't know how I will pay for it but I guess, build it and they will come!  I just may put out a "shingle" or tin can at work!  Hopefully I will have my BSN done this summer and be 3 degrees down with the BIG ONE ahead.  Never thought I'd end up a professional student, but I have worked the entire time in the same field.  Just keep moving along in one field!  

Not much else to talk about today.  Posted info on FB about the beach house.  Mom and Dad are feeling the pinch with the house, so I'm trying to help by getting it out there to rent.  If anyone knows of someone looking for a house to rent in the OBX for summer vacation, let me know!  This is the best, I'm not bias or anything!!  Have a great day!

On, Off Syndrome

This is going to be a very long week for me!!  I hate it when my schedule has me doing one on, one off, one on, one off and so forth!  It's nice to have the break but it makes the week so long and I forget what day it actually is!!!  It's funny how I check my patient's orientation when I myself can barely remember the day!!!

Having the car inspected today, oops should have been done in January!!  Oh well, just one of the perks of living in old Virginia, yearly inspections!!!  Got a laundry list of things to do on my day off.  So need to hire someone to clean for me, even if just every other week!!  I just may have to suck it up and scrape the money together.  It would totally save my sanity, or what's left!  Hope everyone has a good week!  Tata for now!
